i saw this on pintresest and thought i have to make this!! i started trolling ebay and craigslist for an antique suitcase and guess what?!?!?!?<br />
<br />
here it is...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dbBadudCwQk/TpDYmedZvBI/AAAAAAAAAes/rWFSqf1wou8/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dbBadudCwQk/TpDYmedZvBI/AAAAAAAAAes/rWFSqf1wou8/s320/Untitled.png" width="320" /></a></div><br />

(well and $14.00 for shipping) totally can't wait to get it in and get started. now to be on the look out for the perfect material for the bedding!! oh you know i'll have more pics when i get started!deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-86054629541497772722011-10-08T17:51:00.001-05:002011-10-08T17:52:14.167-05:00doggy contest!!in the newsletter last week there was this announcement... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAlvRp67woI/TpCrDWOXoSI/AAAAAAAAAdE/js9P33zBdeM/s1600/dog.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAlvRp67woI/TpCrDWOXoSI/AAAAAAAAAdE/js9P33zBdeM/s640/dog.png" width="640" /></a></div><br />
oh, it is so on!! i have to remind myself that it's just a friendly contest, to have fun!! yeah right, i'm out to win. AND we have special arsenal in our corner... a new yorkie puppy. those things by themselves are cute, imagine with a little creativity what we could do! we chose most school spirited and our little bit is going to be head cheerleader!<br />
<br />
we started her costume off with her skirt. what cheer puppy is complete without her tutu uniform?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XxRTRdZRVSk/TpCs2evKVXI/AAAAAAAAAdI/VjNRmiLFg80/s1600/IMG_7302.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XxRTRdZRVSk/TpCs2evKVXI/AAAAAAAAAdI/VjNRmiLFg80/s320/IMG_7302.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
here's my supplies. i originally got green material to make her shirt and then realized i needed it to stretch and ended up using a t shirt sleeve for the shirt instead. first i measured her little waist and cut my elastic strip 1 in less than her waist.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m1vs3yxVyDA/TpCufKf6xAI/AAAAAAAAAdM/8E_6WIbMEos/s1600/IMG_7304.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m1vs3yxVyDA/TpCufKf6xAI/AAAAAAAAAdM/8E_6WIbMEos/s320/IMG_7304.JPG" width="320" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">next i cut 1 & 1/2 in strips twice the length of how long i wanted the skirt to be. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iDIRzc9FWtY/TpCv4ogzEUI/AAAAAAAAAdQ/ou_bcr9anBI/s1600/IMG_7305.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iDIRzc9FWtY/TpCv4ogzEUI/AAAAAAAAAdQ/ou_bcr9anBI/s320/IMG_7305.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">after i got miss thang's strips all cut i started putting them on the elastic. * now let me interject here. there are multiple ways and 5 million tutorials on how to do this. i looked at a couple different ways and decided to do a little unconventional method since it will be going on my little 3lb puppy. i doubled over a couple sections at a time and sewed them around the elastic. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eATIrdoSGaM/TpCxe11zsoI/AAAAAAAAAdU/K7j1aDy4uCY/s1600/IMG_7306.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eATIrdoSGaM/TpCxe11zsoI/AAAAAAAAAdU/K7j1aDy4uCY/s320/IMG_7306.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">now again i chose to sew it instead of tying just because i thought with as little as it was going to be it would bunch too bad for her. i knew she wasn't going to be happy about it already so i was trying to make it as painless as possible for the both of us. be very careful when sewing the tule, for starters it is very delicate and will tear easy but also be careful that you are just sewing the tule to the tule and not the tule to the elastic. if it is sewn into the elastic, when the elastic stretches it will break what you have sewn. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UDnB4duVBa8/TpCydBjVKOI/AAAAAAAAAdY/ZKHHsBb2-v8/s1600/IMG_7308.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UDnB4duVBa8/TpCydBjVKOI/AAAAAAAAAdY/ZKHHsBb2-v8/s320/IMG_7308.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">i kept adding until i ran out. at first i was bummed because it only went half way around but i've since realized that since this is going on a dog that is really for the better. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pJ7u-dPns7Y/TpCy3J4HvuI/AAAAAAAAAdc/OSEHQfZjNq0/s1600/IMG_7309.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pJ7u-dPns7Y/TpCy3J4HvuI/AAAAAAAAAdc/OSEHQfZjNq0/s320/IMG_7309.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">i really wanted it to be comfortable for her so i sewed so material around the edge of the tule so that the waist wouldn't irritate her. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GisOLHKV8tU/TpCzVns9fYI/AAAAAAAAAdg/yF5iEuL1AnQ/s1600/IMG_7312.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GisOLHKV8tU/TpCzVns9fYI/AAAAAAAAAdg/yF5iEuL1AnQ/s320/IMG_7312.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">now on to her shirt!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div>i used the sleeve from an old white shirt to make her shirt. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IuYrD8k3Mao/TpC0arDfINI/AAAAAAAAAdk/T-zlnWiDhOs/s1600/IMG_7344.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IuYrD8k3Mao/TpC0arDfINI/AAAAAAAAAdk/T-zlnWiDhOs/s320/IMG_7344.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">i trimmed up the edges of the shirt then hemmed around them to prevent raveling. i then turned inside out and put it on her to mark where her legs would be.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W5r4wxUG_Ho/TpC1Du8HNnI/AAAAAAAAAdo/sKIUFTZNOVI/s1600/IMG_7345.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W5r4wxUG_Ho/TpC1Du8HNnI/AAAAAAAAAdo/sKIUFTZNOVI/s320/IMG_7345.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">next i found a circle about the size i wanted for leg holes and drew on circles to cut out. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mV4tZ5wsWWU/TpC4AOEVhRI/AAAAAAAAAd0/2R1WiRzAkIw/s1600/IMG_7347.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mV4tZ5wsWWU/TpC4AOEVhRI/AAAAAAAAAd0/2R1WiRzAkIw/s320/IMG_7347.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
after i got the holes for her legs i tried it one her and had to do a little more taking up. but then got it perfect. now for some school pride. i used MTC to pixel trace our new school logo and printed out on some HTV.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G0tEEj9PdFM/TpC5EHv5FiI/AAAAAAAAAd4/8qqnXtzkIZ4/s1600/IMG_7354.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G0tEEj9PdFM/TpC5EHv5FiI/AAAAAAAAAd4/8qqnXtzkIZ4/s320/IMG_7354.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">so now our uniform is done, but we are still not finished. no cheerleader can cheer without her pom poms! the only part i really hate about this is that i used all my green and blue. oh well. at least i still had some white left. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Epu2l-dM6Xo/TpC6D8sPPtI/AAAAAAAAAd8/1vCiIFLisvI/s1600/IMG_7362.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Epu2l-dM6Xo/TpC6D8sPPtI/AAAAAAAAAd8/1vCiIFLisvI/s320/IMG_7362.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">i took about 6 strips of my white tule that i had left over and 2 rubber bands. i tied a strip of tule around the rubber band like so...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RlvqDTsbUgM/TpC8nRYLcEI/AAAAAAAAAeA/iGF0oqDakiE/s1600/IMG_7363.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RlvqDTsbUgM/TpC8nRYLcEI/AAAAAAAAAeA/iGF0oqDakiE/s320/IMG_7363.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">i tied about 4 more around in different directions...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I-gV6Qzp3YI/TpC82G2aFiI/AAAAAAAAAeE/8ZjPmC-_RDk/s1600/IMG_7365.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I-gV6Qzp3YI/TpC82G2aFiI/AAAAAAAAAeE/8ZjPmC-_RDk/s320/IMG_7365.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">now i wanted them to stick out in front like pom poms so i pulled my pieces of tule together and tied one last piece around them to keep them bunched together. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FSX7h5BT3jc/TpC9f790hvI/AAAAAAAAAeI/B7g-EQd5JHw/s1600/IMG_7366.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FSX7h5BT3jc/TpC9f790hvI/AAAAAAAAAeI/B7g-EQd5JHw/s320/IMG_7366.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x4nWNQl4bJo/TpC1moTK1QI/AAAAAAAAAds/u1bG1prooNc/s1600/IMG_7346.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jwg4fBtYObU/TpC1pYCFr5I/AAAAAAAAAdw/NJk2SYx_JK0/s1600/IMG_7347.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br />

and here's her outfit...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YofJ6QLWkc4/TpDJMNiMJcI/AAAAAAAAAeQ/gnxwm-YGVPA/s1600/IMG_7369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YofJ6QLWkc4/TpDJMNiMJcI/AAAAAAAAAeQ/gnxwm-YGVPA/s320/IMG_7369.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
ok so now to get it on her. she is such the little model! <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MccmcKTmKGs/TpDJz-PJ_II/AAAAAAAAAec/kpi3nj0kULo/s1600/IMG_7380.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MccmcKTmKGs/TpDJz-PJ_II/AAAAAAAAAec/kpi3nj0kULo/s400/IMG_7380.JPG" width="266" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cRXE8BbUqUE/TpDJ3Sk6xnI/AAAAAAAAAeg/k3xDNknwI2E/s1600/IMG_7381.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cRXE8BbUqUE/TpDJ3Sk6xnI/AAAAAAAAAeg/k3xDNknwI2E/s400/IMG_7381.JPG" width="266" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GLoROGUjrGY/TpDJwuOcQ4I/AAAAAAAAAeY/gO_Bp3_VHDM/s1600/IMG_7377.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GLoROGUjrGY/TpDJwuOcQ4I/AAAAAAAAAeY/gO_Bp3_VHDM/s400/IMG_7377.JPG" width="266" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kULWSysck8Y/TpCeI-LoHkI/AAAAAAAAAcY/ULGcc7yZZf0/s1600/IMG_7348.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kULWSysck8Y/TpCeI-LoHkI/AAAAAAAAAcY/ULGcc7yZZf0/s320/IMG_7348.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i sewed one strip to each side and then repeated for the second panel so my "bag" now looked like this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RxOWCGZbgMY/TpCeb42EF5I/AAAAAAAAAcc/io1c3ORjafw/s1600/IMG_7349.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RxOWCGZbgMY/TpCeb42EF5I/AAAAAAAAAcc/io1c3ORjafw/s320/IMG_7349.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>next i measured out about a 2 in strip the length of the bag for the top. i sewed the two ends together to what would be the sides of the bag then came back and sewed the top to the front and back panels.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6InxZjMh8WY/TpCe82GlmDI/AAAAAAAAAcg/-zXrGK89VBk/s1600/IMG_7357.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6InxZjMh8WY/TpCe82GlmDI/AAAAAAAAAcg/-zXrGK89VBk/s320/IMG_7357.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
to clean up the bottom edge i folded over and hemmed it up<br />
<br />

AND because i'm a good little ocd girl that refuses she has any sort of problem i ironed out all the seams so that they would lay flat. : ) here's my bag...<br />

they turned out so cute and was easy with MTC rhinestone feature. i went a little different route this time then from designs i made in the past. i made my design in make the cut and mirror imaged it. i then copied and pasted into photoshop cs5 and then printed from there. i used the hot fix applicator tape and tape it onto my printed out pattern and begin placing stones. i'll warn you it can become tedious, BUT i did all 3 of these designs totally about an hour and a half. i didn't do it all in one sitting just a little here and there while watching tv. such a cute unique gift!!deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-29136969529513820312011-09-25T16:44:00.000-05:002011-09-25T16:44:09.796-05:00file updatei have changed the file format on all the angry birds files from mtc files to svgs so that they can be more diversely used. hope that helps!!deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-45266616458096012682011-09-25T15:10:00.000-05:002011-09-25T15:10:40.588-05:00my laundry room curtainsin working on my laundry room redo, i needed some curtains for my window on door. since it's not a standard window i wanted something a little different and matching with my theme. that's when i thought of this idea...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vScHUMpKcz4/Tn9vn65xYYI/AAAAAAAAAaI/Sy_Eyc9_l2c/s1600/IMG_7264.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vScHUMpKcz4/Tn9vn65xYYI/AAAAAAAAAaI/Sy_Eyc9_l2c/s400/IMG_7264.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
i wanted it to look like laundry hanging out to dry on my window. to do this i found some washcloths at walmart that were cute and went well with my colors AND was on the clearance aisle! to start my project i looked at my window and decided about how big i wanted each washcloth section to be.i figured about half the size of the washcloth would be perfect after considering seam allowance. <br />
<br />
first step is to sew one end of the washcloth. make sure to back stitch at the beginning and at the end to prevent unraveling. i did not go all the way thru the blue trim at the end because i was using white thread and didn't want it showing up. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-widgucaFaHA/Tn98MbWyzXI/AAAAAAAAAaM/cvkWOTN7oZU/s1600/IMG_7203.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-widgucaFaHA/Tn98MbWyzXI/AAAAAAAAAaM/cvkWOTN7oZU/s320/IMG_7203.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
next i found my half way point, made very easy by the fact that i just bought them and the creases from laying folded told me just where to fold. : ) and repeated my sewn edge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a7Sb14WCuWo/Tn9_teDsYuI/AAAAAAAAAaY/xyerxofYPP0/s1600/IMG_7209.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a7Sb14WCuWo/Tn9_teDsYuI/AAAAAAAAAaY/xyerxofYPP0/s320/IMG_7209.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
after i completed both edges i cut the other half off so that the back looks like so...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tZqSXNvIu68/Tn-AQ80vBKI/AAAAAAAAAac/wjF3pRO6v-s/s1600/IMG_7211.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tZqSXNvIu68/Tn-AQ80vBKI/AAAAAAAAAac/wjF3pRO6v-s/s320/IMG_7211.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> i then repeated these steps for 2 more washcloths. i wanted a total of 6. after my first one was completed i used it as my "official" size. i measured all my remaining ones with that first one to ensure they all were the same size. some i had to go back and trim up after being sewn. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HCVw2fwYQxA/Tn-A8wAzMkI/AAAAAAAAAag/eNf_UHOd3-k/s1600/IMG_7213.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HCVw2fwYQxA/Tn-A8wAzMkI/AAAAAAAAAag/eNf_UHOd3-k/s400/IMG_7213.JPG" width="266" /></a></div><br />
almost done. when i hung it on my twine as a trial run i noticed that the ends where they were i sewed it together causing a bunch at that end.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9QzpT7LLrOE/Tn-BkEqiwbI/AAAAAAAAAak/QGIlowWQ1Jo/s1600/IMG_7207.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9QzpT7LLrOE/Tn-BkEqiwbI/AAAAAAAAAak/QGIlowWQ1Jo/s320/IMG_7207.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>i took and cut theses corners at an angle allowing it to lay much flatter. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XR_AKrAih4M/Tn-B1WFLTzI/AAAAAAAAAao/tXamfHmoA-g/s1600/IMG_7212.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XR_AKrAih4M/Tn-B1WFLTzI/AAAAAAAAAao/tXamfHmoA-g/s320/IMG_7212.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>now it's time to hang your clothes line! i bought the little 3m hooks since i my curtain was actually on my door. i cleaned my whole door really well before i hung them, with it being our back door and of course the one we use the much, it was VERY dirty. i cleaned the area where i was putting the hooks with rubbing alcohol as suggested on the package and allowed to dry. after it was good and dry and placed my hooks. the instructions recommending leaving up for 1 hr before hang anything on the hooks to allow good adhesion. so i did this step before i did all my sewing so i had plenty of time.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VopjypexTjo/Tn-DeTPwnnI/AAAAAAAAAas/TwnV67QsMm0/s1600/IMG_7262.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VopjypexTjo/Tn-DeTPwnnI/AAAAAAAAAas/TwnV67QsMm0/s320/IMG_7262.JPG" width="212" /></a>now you're ready to hand your twine. i just bought the twine in the hardware department for like $1 at walmart...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fVlwOzS6QIU/Tn-EBSxXxnI/AAAAAAAAAaw/w7njvzCsP1E/s1600/IMG_7261.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fVlwOzS6QIU/Tn-EBSxXxnI/AAAAAAAAAaw/w7njvzCsP1E/s320/IMG_7261.JPG" width="212" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
i stretched the twine across the window leaving it pretty tight. i wanted it to stay tight because i knew the weight of the washcloths would pull it down.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p1mT7J2fKhw/Tn-IcAhdHSI/AAAAAAAAAa0/0YaKgwLx77g/s1600/IMG_7263.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p1mT7J2fKhw/Tn-IcAhdHSI/AAAAAAAAAa0/0YaKgwLx77g/s400/IMG_7263.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
all that is remaining now is to place your washcloths and you're done!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jEySrZ_MfEU/Tn-IvlD-IRI/AAAAAAAAAa4/v0b_vsq8-EA/s1600/IMG_7265.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jEySrZ_MfEU/Tn-IvlD-IRI/AAAAAAAAAa4/v0b_vsq8-EA/s640/IMG_7265.JPG" width="425" /></a></div><br />
* an after thought... these have held up extremely well. i just knew using this door so much the weight of the curtains would pull these down but they have with held great! they have been up a couple months now and i'm VERY pleased!deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-58877852257109049812011-09-12T12:37:00.000-05:002011-09-12T12:37:31.807-05:00i'm baaaaccccckkkk....ok finally after weeks of no time to blog i'm back! :) school started and i finally have settled into a routine and now i'm ready to get back to work. so with my first post back from the start of school our prep for school starting....<br />
<br />
i found some water bottles at albertson's for $1 a piece and couldn't wait to personalize them! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jFwd-AcoW30/Tm49ZKLBEfI/AAAAAAAAAZo/8eVWv1vqbjI/s1600/IMG_7228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jFwd-AcoW30/Tm49ZKLBEfI/AAAAAAAAAZo/8eVWv1vqbjI/s320/IMG_7228.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
since maverick's new fav color is blue i gave her the blue one, bayley loves green, and that leaves orange for riley. (sorry riley!) i cut out each kids names out of outdoor vinyl (oracal 651) with MTC and cricut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OXt8wJqNFvs/Tm4_6frCaUI/AAAAAAAAAZs/3Zojj8Bp65Q/s1600/IMG_7240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OXt8wJqNFvs/Tm4_6frCaUI/AAAAAAAAAZs/3Zojj8Bp65Q/s320/IMG_7240.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after i cut each name out i applied it to the bottle with contact paper...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-obAli0153G0/Tm5B-oXW8RI/AAAAAAAAAZw/a6iZ1Vpr5-c/s1600/IMG_7241.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-obAli0153G0/Tm5B-oXW8RI/AAAAAAAAAZw/a6iZ1Vpr5-c/s320/IMG_7241.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after taking the contact paper off and finishing the other two i'm done and the kids have their own personalized water bottles!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Pc14lsrib50/Tm5DBdNmD4I/AAAAAAAAAZ0/_FEJgynP28c/s1600/IMG_7246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Pc14lsrib50/Tm5DBdNmD4I/AAAAAAAAAZ0/_FEJgynP28c/s320/IMG_7246.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-62856409553577278022011-07-29T14:26:00.001-05:002011-07-29T14:28:30.384-05:00it's hard being a diva, doggy dressi found this blog and this diy craft and couldn't wait to get started for my favorite little niece hershey and adopted niece diva. the name of the blog is sew doggy style and you can <a href="http://sewdoggystyle.blogspot.com/2010/09/doggy-style-on-ruff-budget.html">click here</a> to she her post. here's how i made their dresses...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qz-EdmpRunk/TixjS20_zYI/AAAAAAAAAXU/oBpCLgMRhrU/s1600/IMG_7090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qz-EdmpRunk/TixjS20_zYI/AAAAAAAAAXU/oBpCLgMRhrU/s320/IMG_7090.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
my materials i used was an old jean pocket, some cow print material, some pink tulle, black ribbon (i ended up not actually using the black ribbon but just the pink instead.) and some hot pink ribbon. the first step is to gather your material to fit the pocket. in order to do this you need to cut your material about 2 and 1/2 times larger than your finished result.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FPAAMN5HCis/Tix3Jb5XV0I/AAAAAAAAAXg/dhqNlp9Gl4E/s1600/IMG_7091.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FPAAMN5HCis/Tix3Jb5XV0I/AAAAAAAAAXg/dhqNlp9Gl4E/s320/IMG_7091.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i measured from here to here and got 4 in. so i cut my material 10 in. from here you have to gather your material to do this you will need to a 1/2 in seam across the top leaving a good amount of string on either end. very import not to back stick here...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-huGbxxdyzHM/Tix5CvCkNTI/AAAAAAAAAXk/MU22Wo1oznE/s1600/IMG_7092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-huGbxxdyzHM/Tix5CvCkNTI/AAAAAAAAAXk/MU22Wo1oznE/s200/IMG_7092.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CvZgZQk1rPw/Tix5c55CDrI/AAAAAAAAAXo/_cQXFKN_jVE/s1600/IMG_7093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CvZgZQk1rPw/Tix5c55CDrI/AAAAAAAAAXo/_cQXFKN_jVE/s200/IMG_7093.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
after you have your 1/2 in seam time to sew a 1/4 in seam across the top as well, and again to do not back stitch on either end. once you have both seams sewn, tie one end of the strings together to keep from pulling the thread out. with the other end pull the top string along, much like you would a curtain rod, and bunch or gather the material. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-37lO9_PjJus/Tix7j0YM5gI/AAAAAAAAAXs/rAfIxLVws4A/s1600/IMG_7094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-37lO9_PjJus/Tix7j0YM5gI/AAAAAAAAAXs/rAfIxLVws4A/s320/IMG_7094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
the next step you will need to do is hem the edges to prevent raveling. before you sew the edges line up your gathered material to your pocket to assure it's the right size.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0YvRHE1lHGI/Ti9XQyCWopI/AAAAAAAAAYA/00s_ufTqZb8/s1600/IMG_7096.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0YvRHE1lHGI/Ti9XQyCWopI/AAAAAAAAAYA/00s_ufTqZb8/s320/IMG_7096.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A-TbnUdEWIA/Ti9TjPOB_jI/AAAAAAAAAX0/pH6Z4xajkho/s1600/IMG_7097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A-TbnUdEWIA/Ti9TjPOB_jI/AAAAAAAAAX0/pH6Z4xajkho/s320/IMG_7097.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>i pressed the edges first...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TviF3dxhBXE/Ti9UoYrpbwI/AAAAAAAAAX4/jUWPl18kRsc/s1600/IMG_7098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TviF3dxhBXE/Ti9UoYrpbwI/AAAAAAAAAX4/jUWPl18kRsc/s200/IMG_7098.JPG" width="133" /></a></div>and then sewed a 1/4 in seam..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VHvLSgc6QFA/Ti9VQqN2H5I/AAAAAAAAAX8/0heMHoZ5fyY/s1600/IMG_7099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VHvLSgc6QFA/Ti9VQqN2H5I/AAAAAAAAAX8/0heMHoZ5fyY/s320/IMG_7099.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>then repeat for the bottom edge. when finished the back should look like this...<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
next do the same thing with tulle. be careful with the tulle, it is delicate and will rip easily. the tulle doesn't need to be hemmed just gathered. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tK08ORGkH7Y/Tiy1-Jr26JI/AAAAAAAAAXw/fRO-Os3dUFM/s1600/IMG_7095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tK08ORGkH7Y/Tiy1-Jr26JI/AAAAAAAAAXw/fRO-Os3dUFM/s320/IMG_7095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
after i lined up the tulle and cow print<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aYxlQfnC-mE/Ti9YZJZNYYI/AAAAAAAAAYE/4zfF3hzR4pA/s1600/IMG_7100.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aYxlQfnC-mE/Ti9YZJZNYYI/AAAAAAAAAYE/4zfF3hzR4pA/s320/IMG_7100.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
i placed the pocket on top and then sewed the three pieces together. i used thread about the same color as the thread used on the pocket, a light brown color. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h51hiEZsI4w/Ti9Y8eUrYoI/AAAAAAAAAYI/YvceIQdrN-8/s1600/IMG_7101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h51hiEZsI4w/Ti9Y8eUrYoI/AAAAAAAAAYI/YvceIQdrN-8/s320/IMG_7101.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after the three pieces are sewn together the dress comes together like so...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X9RqSiHsX00/Ti9bibbH7RI/AAAAAAAAAYM/DzOpSi9UZtE/s1600/IMG_7102.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X9RqSiHsX00/Ti9bibbH7RI/AAAAAAAAAYM/DzOpSi9UZtE/s320/IMG_7102.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after the top of the dress is together it's time to make the body of the dress. to do this you will need to measure around body of your dog to determine the size of material to cut. i used scraps from an old shirt i used with another project. i like the t shirt material because it stretches. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f7trlkXm4_I/Ti9dPEDIXiI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/EvYmoAwuLFw/s1600/IMG_7103.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f7trlkXm4_I/Ti9dPEDIXiI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/EvYmoAwuLFw/s320/IMG_7103.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after you cut your material it's time to sew it onto the pocket<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6Eh_D1XlLOY/Ti9f9L0ZZrI/AAAAAAAAAYU/I_ijmV98VUo/s1600/IMG_7104.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6Eh_D1XlLOY/Ti9f9L0ZZrI/AAAAAAAAAYU/I_ijmV98VUo/s320/IMG_7104.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
i placed it on the pocket down from the top seam some. i sewed one side and then the next.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uPWITLgkLxg/Ti9jdC-6_4I/AAAAAAAAAYY/BurMA8uGLrI/s1600/IMG_7105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uPWITLgkLxg/Ti9jdC-6_4I/AAAAAAAAAYY/BurMA8uGLrI/s320/IMG_7105.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
next i cut the ribbon to attach for around the neck.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3LyJKLTO_7Y/Ti9kvZqivOI/AAAAAAAAAYc/0Q9WP4y0hZ8/s1600/IMG_7106.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3LyJKLTO_7Y/Ti9kvZqivOI/AAAAAAAAAYc/0Q9WP4y0hZ8/s320/IMG_7106.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
i sewed the ribbon to the top and the dress is done. well..... ok it's done unless you like me need some need some bling! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MmPmZFPGCfg/Ti9rJ1WhvmI/AAAAAAAAAYg/UL_S4LxpOWk/s1600/IMG_7108.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MmPmZFPGCfg/Ti9rJ1WhvmI/AAAAAAAAAYg/UL_S4LxpOWk/s320/IMG_7108.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i had to make a diva dress for my favorite little diva so that's what i did. i cut my words and shadow out of HTV on make the cut then placed them onto the pocket.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-18Qx5BCYtzc/TjL0plTSnuI/AAAAAAAAAY0/DEfxCcrroJA/s1600/IMG_7109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-18Qx5BCYtzc/TjL0plTSnuI/AAAAAAAAAY0/DEfxCcrroJA/s320/IMG_7109.JPG" width="212" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VSX3VbBXlSE/Ti9xNYkU5sI/AAAAAAAAAYk/XMuoY2QAFnI/s1600/IMG_7110.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VSX3VbBXlSE/Ti9xNYkU5sI/AAAAAAAAAYk/XMuoY2QAFnI/s320/IMG_7110.JPG" width="211" /></a><br />
<br />
after cutting out the shadow layer and the top layer it's time to iron it on. place the shadow layer down and something on top to protect from heat such as a teflon sheet. iron about 8-10 sec.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vyoZuSSEbCY/TjL6gdkql9I/AAAAAAAAAY8/f4Psl9cGUGc/s1600/IMG_7113.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vyoZuSSEbCY/TjL6gdkql9I/AAAAAAAAAY8/f4Psl9cGUGc/s200/IMG_7113.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dC5QDQasCH8/TjL41UJfrmI/AAAAAAAAAY4/a9JvlqOw58Q/s1600/IMG_7112.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dC5QDQasCH8/TjL41UJfrmI/AAAAAAAAAY4/a9JvlqOw58Q/s320/IMG_7112.JPG" width="213" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
pull the off the shinny top layer of the HTV and re-iron the HTV with the protective layer. after you have re-ironed line up your top layer repeat the process.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P5yHKDng56s/TjL9FZdUesI/AAAAAAAAAZA/1m_y1UeMtG8/s1600/IMG_7116.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P5yHKDng56s/TjL9FZdUesI/AAAAAAAAAZA/1m_y1UeMtG8/s320/IMG_7116.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
NOW it's time for the bling!! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9AJJ3knZwgg/TjL_xg3BqfI/AAAAAAAAAZE/escyWadv7qM/s1600/IMG_7120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9AJJ3knZwgg/TjL_xg3BqfI/AAAAAAAAAZE/escyWadv7qM/s320/IMG_7120.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i use fabric glue to place my stones.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9sAmYdEuh38/TjMBTVvDOtI/AAAAAAAAAZI/iwFOwswudow/s1600/IMG_7119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9sAmYdEuh38/TjMBTVvDOtI/AAAAAAAAAZI/iwFOwswudow/s320/IMG_7119.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
and after you add the bling.... ta da you're done! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-88NDgr5Z81Y/TjMCa7DK1rI/AAAAAAAAAZM/-636Wl39m_Y/s1600/IMG_7124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-88NDgr5Z81Y/TjMCa7DK1rI/AAAAAAAAAZM/-636Wl39m_Y/s320/IMG_7124.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MToq5EYHClU/TixT4QQM-0I/AAAAAAAAAXA/ZIQ8mEItrYQ/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MToq5EYHClU/TixT4QQM-0I/AAAAAAAAAXA/ZIQ8mEItrYQ/s320/photo.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br />
i got the idea for this from jin at underacherrytree.com. (<a href="http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html">canvas tutorial) </a>this time i wanted to add some bling. i was inspired by my friend priscilla's daughter's room. she has a paris theme room all pink and black with the eiffel tower everywhere. so i wanted to make a canvas with a chandelier silhouette and of course some bling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wis7NaKT0NM/TixV9LeXBEI/AAAAAAAAAXE/4xVblXkc2rA/s1600/IMG_7066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wis7NaKT0NM/TixV9LeXBEI/AAAAAAAAAXE/4xVblXkc2rA/s320/IMG_7066.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
so i started with my materials.. i got a canvas and some acrylic paint and some rhinestones and cement to glue them to the canvas. courtney's walls are already pink but i wanted a pink background so i decided to sponge paint the canvas to give it some texture to make it stand out against her walls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DQfiNXnK6WQ/TixXredpiTI/AAAAAAAAAXI/n6OdudbbuSI/s1600/IMG_7067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DQfiNXnK6WQ/TixXredpiTI/AAAAAAAAAXI/n6OdudbbuSI/s320/IMG_7067.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i used a regular sponge and dabbed the paint onto the canvas. now on my canvas for mav i used contact paper and cut out the outline of the different parts and used it as a stencil. but with this one because i wanted a chandelier and because the one i chose was pretty detailed i decide just to cut the design out of black vinyl and place that onto the canvas instead. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_e57M7uFnc/TixY6NlXpoI/AAAAAAAAAXM/Cuenh5JsBDA/s1600/IMG_7068.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_e57M7uFnc/TixY6NlXpoI/AAAAAAAAAXM/Cuenh5JsBDA/s320/IMG_7068.JPG" width="213" /></a></div><br />
after i got the vinyl on the canvas i used the cement glue and placed the rhinestones over the beaded areas on the image. here's the finished result...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KP8-Xg00YMg/TixbvnD0HPI/AAAAAAAAAXQ/qW9kH4uLlAw/s1600/IMG_7075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KP8-Xg00YMg/TixbvnD0HPI/AAAAAAAAAXQ/qW9kH4uLlAw/s400/IMG_7075.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-8556937523881641662011-07-22T17:57:00.001-05:002011-07-22T18:01:17.036-05:00miss d...i made maverick my own miss me jeans, i call them miss d! (hehehe) any ways here's her pants before some bling...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ceIqSAusq4A/Tin7NyK6iII/AAAAAAAAAWw/05OKDWK2WJI/s1600/IMG_7081.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ceIqSAusq4A/Tin7NyK6iII/AAAAAAAAAWw/05OKDWK2WJI/s200/IMG_7081.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2pB88HDI2sA/Tin8Q0-9vaI/AAAAAAAAAW0/82VuXPZI58g/s1600/IMG_7085.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="132" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2pB88HDI2sA/Tin8Q0-9vaI/AAAAAAAAAW0/82VuXPZI58g/s200/IMG_7085.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
and then for the bling...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sS1tiandrws/Tin-egUCRnI/AAAAAAAAAW4/O7zvdtdydTk/s1600/IMG_7084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sS1tiandrws/Tin-egUCRnI/AAAAAAAAAW4/O7zvdtdydTk/s400/IMG_7084.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-56Ds7-tIlLU/Tin_a7MmVEI/AAAAAAAAAW8/AO0eHBPH_rc/s1600/IMG_7086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-56Ds7-tIlLU/Tin_a7MmVEI/AAAAAAAAAW8/AO0eHBPH_rc/s400/IMG_7086.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-4372271236132285442011-07-17T17:55:00.000-05:002011-07-17T17:55:42.416-05:00dallas mavericks nba champions!!in honor of our great dallas mavericks nba championship win i had to make my own little maverick a shirt. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r62SC3EtG2c/TiNimKNaLxI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/e5gcvlo-YJs/s1600/g2440000000000000006bfe1951faeb458c69bc56bd8a7fe5a7f06bcc24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r62SC3EtG2c/TiNimKNaLxI/AAAAAAAAAWQ/e5gcvlo-YJs/s640/g2440000000000000006bfe1951faeb458c69bc56bd8a7fe5a7f06bcc24.jpg" width="313" /></a></div><br />
even though she isn't ACTUALLY named after the dallas mavericks it doesn't hurt to do a little play on words! she gets so excited when she sees her name everywhere! :) i wanted to make her her own mavs gear. first i started with googling some dallas mavericks logos. i found several...<br />
<br />

i ended up choosing the last one. i liked the throw back look of that one and besides... it was going to be the easiest one to convert! :) i pixel traced the image into MTC and then broke apart the layers. i used the green i got to make our TCA mighty eagles shirts and some blue glitter vinyl express4fun shipped me as an extra. i decided to just do the image and then put her name underneath. i'm sure i'll get plenty of people telling me i left off the "s" in maverickS but i wanted it to be her name. i cut out my image and then layered it on my shirt. here's the before and after. it turned out so cute!<br />
<br />
BEFORE:<br />

AFTER: <br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bf2asfLjPYo/Tho_Q2TrVQI/AAAAAAAAAVo/QkMouGY_K5M/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="86" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bf2asfLjPYo/Tho_Q2TrVQI/AAAAAAAAAVo/QkMouGY_K5M/s400/Untitled.png" width="400" /></a></div>deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-74891871264598558202011-07-08T15:03:00.003-05:002011-09-25T15:15:36.014-05:00miss priss *update*my friend priscilla is the queen of bling! she loves all things bling. she blings EVERYTHING!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C13CbG83tqU/ThTL1QkcKDI/AAAAAAAAARY/vTIvr37HvCA/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C13CbG83tqU/ThTL1QkcKDI/AAAAAAAAARY/vTIvr37HvCA/s320/Untitled.png" width="249" /></a></div><br />
at a recent pool party for our department cilla brought her ice chest she just bought that day. she said she got the cheap one at walmart and had to put her name on it cause everyone is going to have the same one. so she put her name on it...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FCuRWrFzLp0/ThTZulm_AqI/AAAAAAAAARc/ihs6PMPVjD0/s1600/photo%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FCuRWrFzLp0/ThTZulm_AqI/AAAAAAAAARc/ihs6PMPVjD0/s400/photo%25284%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--uhoZkK4rxU/Thc8IYyrcKI/AAAAAAAAARo/Faid8MBmuEM/s1600/tdeutyg.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--uhoZkK4rxU/Thc8IYyrcKI/AAAAAAAAARo/Faid8MBmuEM/s1600/tdeutyg.png" /></a></div><br />
after i made the image i thought that i could make it into a rhinestone template to make a shirt for her.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C5TfUnYp1Ek/Thc9nVxtj3I/AAAAAAAAARs/vK3YBSM1cYU/s1600/tdeutyg.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="175" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C5TfUnYp1Ek/Thc9nVxtj3I/AAAAAAAAARs/vK3YBSM1cYU/s200/tdeutyg.png" width="200" /></a></div><br />
this was my first real rhinestone template. i couldn't wait to put it onto a shirt for her...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0lhfEDVacdQ/Thc_RoPP8rI/AAAAAAAAAR0/lHuivWu42oI/s1600/IMG_7022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0lhfEDVacdQ/Thc_RoPP8rI/AAAAAAAAAR0/lHuivWu42oI/s400/IMG_7022.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T-nfHjY05EE/ThE0NLevzNI/AAAAAAAAAQw/j0PAadKoiMQ/s1600/IMG_6981.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T-nfHjY05EE/ThE0NLevzNI/AAAAAAAAAQw/j0PAadKoiMQ/s200/IMG_6981.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>here's the bucket i picked up at walmart for $9, then i added some vinyl that i cut out with my spiff cricut...<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3vL2PeBhZxM/ThE4d2IIJUI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/79lm4NYcrSY/s1600/IMG_6984.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3vL2PeBhZxM/ThE4d2IIJUI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/79lm4NYcrSY/s200/IMG_6984.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
and then tada....<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ESm_vlOWHf4/ThE53rLzvmI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/ktuypKD318M/s1600/IMG_6985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ESm_vlOWHf4/ThE53rLzvmI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/ktuypKD318M/s400/IMG_6985.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
lisa loved it! it was such an easy gift and it was very CHEAP! :) two of my fav things! <br />
<br />
then after my bucket i embellished a bag i found at walmart for $5....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1OL56CSPiwc/ThE-XBbY6rI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/s5j5w_LnwCY/s1600/photo%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1OL56CSPiwc/ThE-XBbY6rI/AAAAAAAAAQ8/s5j5w_LnwCY/s400/photo%25283%2529.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>i found some pink fringe at joann's and sewed it around the top and put some ribbon on top of the fringe to hide the stitching. i've ordered some hot pink HTV to put an initial on the front. i'll be sure to post an update as soon as i've finished it. <br />
<br />
THEN, i made my mom's shirt. she wanted a shirt to wear to watch my brother play basketball. she asked if you can order zebra print HTV. i told her i wasn't sure but we could make it by layering and use the school colors instead of black and white. so after a little working with MTC i had my zebra print TCA letters. i started off with a plain grey t-shirt...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vFthN9bZLq4/ThFCAF6Jy2I/AAAAAAAAARA/I-BaNaaO5k0/s1600/IMG_6988.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vFthN9bZLq4/ThFCAF6Jy2I/AAAAAAAAARA/I-BaNaaO5k0/s200/IMG_6988.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OqLp3bMkhq8/ThFCdrCKRjI/AAAAAAAAARE/GDf4hfIE-m4/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="142" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OqLp3bMkhq8/ThFCdrCKRjI/AAAAAAAAARE/GDf4hfIE-m4/s200/Untitled.png" width="200" /> </a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OqLp3bMkhq8/ThFCdrCKRjI/AAAAAAAAARE/GDf4hfIE-m4/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"> </a></div>then added my HTV, i did a white shadow layer then green solid layer then my blue zebra print layer on top like so...<br />
<br />
now to place it...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WRva8bIQ3EU/ThFDwqg8yMI/AAAAAAAAARM/6fGIBtu8d1k/s1600/IMG_6989.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WRva8bIQ3EU/ThFDwqg8yMI/AAAAAAAAARM/6fGIBtu8d1k/s320/IMG_6989.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
still needed a little something, that's when i busted out the bling. i think it turned out pretty cute!<br />

i also made 2 little oneies for a lady we go to church with that just had a baby. one with her initial on it and the other with a blinged out heart. i ran out of crystals for the heart, i was like 7 short, of course! so no photos yet but all in all i would say it was a pretty productive afternoon! :)deonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17702429096728539457noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286245002968007180.post-76544448943372960372011-07-03T21:51:00.001-05:002011-07-03T21:52:20.902-05:00i found a new love...i've been playing with heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and i've found a new love! i got tickets at work to go watch the texas rangers so i had to make us shirts!! i finally got some heat transfer vinyl and thanks to all the peeps on the MTC forum i'm now a pro! :) i can't believe how easy it was!! so i started off with my blank t-shirt that i bought on sale at micheal's (2 for$5). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-02iHQnImvzU/TgacF8fM_yI/AAAAAAAAAPk/7F_6yUQ3dh4/s1600/IMG_6943.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-02iHQnImvzU/TgacF8fM_yI/AAAAAAAAAPk/7F_6yUQ3dh4/s320/IMG_6943.JPG" width="211" /></a></div><br />
next i cut out my image from MTC, using the a blade depth of 4, a pressure setting of med, and speed setting of 3. the HTV comes with a shiny clear transfer covering on the front of the vinyl to use as transfer tape. you want to make sure that you don't cut all the way thru this. i found out the hard way with my first attempt and it was a major pain in the hind quarters! anyway after my image was cut out i weeded the excess and placed it centered on my shirt. i bought the siser easy weed HTV and they aren't lying when they say easy weed. i was a little nervous about how i was going to get it all out but in comes right out. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_-nPM1WZLhg/TgagO2XfS-I/AAAAAAAAAPo/SROgSEVG6Jg/s1600/IMG_6944.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_-nPM1WZLhg/TgagO2XfS-I/AAAAAAAAAPo/SROgSEVG6Jg/s320/IMG_6944.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-apFRIM15M1w/TgakdFar7NI/AAAAAAAAAPs/hZMpqRykTb0/s1600/IMG_6945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-apFRIM15M1w/TgakdFar7NI/AAAAAAAAAPs/hZMpqRykTb0/s200/IMG_6945.JPG" width="200" /></a>after deciding where to place my design it's time to iron, you have to use some sort of barrier when you iron. you can get teflon sheets to use but since i'm new to this and trying it out i used a plain brown paper grocery sack. (read about that on the MTC forum)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LCAyx7LLL7g/Tgak96xtITI/AAAAAAAAAPw/GBiqO3EgAvQ/s1600/IMG_6946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LCAyx7LLL7g/Tgak96xtITI/AAAAAAAAAPw/GBiqO3EgAvQ/s1600/IMG_6946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LCAyx7LLL7g/Tgak96xtITI/AAAAAAAAAPw/GBiqO3EgAvQ/s200/IMG_6946.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>press firmly for about 10 secs all over the whole design.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
after you have pressed your design all over you are ready to peel off your transfer paper. the nice thing about siser easy weed is that it is a hot or cold peel. i found that if it's slightly warm it peels better but it peels just fine cold too. i let it stand for a moment because right after ironing that plastic is a little warm! :) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jPODFlT7kno/Tgan-dUbCkI/AAAAAAAAAP0/WyxUliWP4ts/s1600/IMG_6948.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jPODFlT7kno/Tgan-dUbCkI/AAAAAAAAAP0/WyxUliWP4ts/s320/IMG_6948.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i wanted a layer effect so i next added my top layer. on 1 of my shirts the top layer went down perfectly but on the other 2 i had a little trouble getting it to line up right soooooo, i ironed down one side of the top layer (about half) and then lined up the other half and while holding it in place i put my grocery sack back down and ironed over the second half. now again because this is really my first experience with HTV i'm not sure if this is normal or if i'm doing something wrong. it worked out though! i'll keep you update if i learn some other way!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PHkASzbNfPI/TgapfWlPCoI/AAAAAAAAAP4/OEo7Pv_Hm2Q/s1600/IMG_6950.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PHkASzbNfPI/TgapfWlPCoI/AAAAAAAAAP4/OEo7Pv_Hm2Q/s320/IMG_6950.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
this summer at work we are having a contest... our "mascot" is sheriff lonestar. when we go on vacation or anywhere really and we take lonestar with us we are to take pics and the best photo wins every month. well i'm taking lonestar with me to the game on my shirt, but first i had to deck him out in his rangers gear. i photoshopped his cowboy hat and replaced it with a rangers hat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EuSo3J_8ftQ/TgaqyMlDbnI/AAAAAAAAAQA/USNtpeQ2dKU/s1600/Sheriff+Lone+Star.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EuSo3J_8ftQ/TgaqyMlDbnI/AAAAAAAAAQA/USNtpeQ2dKU/s200/Sheriff+Lone+Star.png" width="154" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gJfIhWdgRFU/TgarKvYvM3I/AAAAAAAAAQE/8WK32UQqe40/s1600/rangerSheriff+Lone+Star.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gJfIhWdgRFU/TgarKvYvM3I/AAAAAAAAAQE/8WK32UQqe40/s200/rangerSheriff+Lone+Star.png" width="171" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gJfIhWdgRFU/TgarKvYvM3I/AAAAAAAAAQE/8WK32UQqe40/s1600/rangerSheriff+Lone+Star.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br />
</a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
i add lonestar to my shirt and he's ready to go... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_EorMOH82wY/ThEDLBn57RI/AAAAAAAAAQY/3pMQP5OlMMA/s1600/IMG_6954.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dL_JnvNZrSQ/TgauczuazhI/AAAAAAAAAQI/cOGF7p3y0Ew/s1600/IMG_6953.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dL_JnvNZrSQ/TgauczuazhI/AAAAAAAAAQI/cOGF7p3y0Ew/s320/IMG_6953.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>after i got all my shirts done i had to add a little bling with my new rhinestone applicator tool i got last week. <br />
<br />

mav loved her bling, but the boys wouldn't let me add any bling to theirs. can you believe it?? here are the final results of the shirts...<br />

ANGRY BIRDS!!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RlxJ8S0r-Zw/Tfl9WuTZ42I/AAAAAAAAAOY/NRhNbYdIuqQ/s1600/angry-birds-holiday_news.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RlxJ8S0r-Zw/Tfl9WuTZ42I/AAAAAAAAAOY/NRhNbYdIuqQ/s320/angry-birds-holiday_news.jpg" width="320" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>after gathering everything together, i used scrap material and wonder under that i already had at home, we are ready to get angry...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nzFN6BW4x-I/Tfl-Rn6NFAI/AAAAAAAAAOc/_G1JPAdQ7Q8/s1600/IMG_6851.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nzFN6BW4x-I/Tfl-Rn6NFAI/AAAAAAAAAOc/_G1JPAdQ7Q8/s320/IMG_6851.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
i got the angry birds idea from my svg files i created the other day using my make the cut software (only the best software ever invented!! thanks a bunch andy!!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VY3Lpkx6nWk/TfmAeXnivrI/AAAAAAAAAOg/O3qyWoT22XI/s1600/aaa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="153" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VY3Lpkx6nWk/TfmAeXnivrI/AAAAAAAAAOg/O3qyWoT22XI/s320/aaa.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R3lGH-SDHCo/TfmBFAyZTAI/AAAAAAAAAOk/terGeEqoN3w/s1600/bbb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="187" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R3lGH-SDHCo/TfmBFAyZTAI/AAAAAAAAAOk/terGeEqoN3w/s320/bbb.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>after creating all the birds, i created the shirt with the intention of making it with my kids, but now we can have fun shirts for our outing and i can be the COOLEST mom ever!!! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cf6VdGJNXI8/TfmDCLiXcuI/AAAAAAAAAOo/vKlxKfj20_8/s1600/IMG_6853.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cf6VdGJNXI8/TfmDCLiXcuI/AAAAAAAAAOo/vKlxKfj20_8/s200/IMG_6853.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>so, i cut my scrap material to fit on my cricut mat and then cut my wonder under (steam to seam, whatever you chose to call it) the same size and iron it together to make a piece of "material paper" to run through the cricut.<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XBmL9_JMl8E/TfmDgc1P_1I/AAAAAAAAAOs/0otntP2Hzrg/s1600/IMG_6854.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XBmL9_JMl8E/TfmDgc1P_1I/AAAAAAAAAOs/0otntP2Hzrg/s200/IMG_6854.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
i then placed my "material paper" material side down on the cricut mat and secured it with painters tape. <br />
<br />
now let the cutting begin... (one "little" side note here, make sure that your design is set to mirror image since the material side is facing down. otherwise your image will come out reversed. trusted me, :) i had to redo the eyes!!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_O0SuHvoBf8/TfmEY9TiA-I/AAAAAAAAAOw/CldAUovEGPU/s1600/IMG_6852.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_O0SuHvoBf8/TfmEY9TiA-I/AAAAAAAAAOw/CldAUovEGPU/s320/IMG_6852.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
now while i'm SLAVING away over a cutting cricut and a hot iron the boys are outside breaking in the new pool liner that was just installed earlier in the day. (the pool is literally being filled while they are swimming)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DnWrj6byD4g/TfmFJTILhmI/AAAAAAAAAO0/3heJr0pxv6o/s1600/IMG_6856.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DnWrj6byD4g/TfmFJTILhmI/AAAAAAAAAO0/3heJr0pxv6o/s400/IMG_6856.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8Coz73BT2M/TfmIALksbLI/AAAAAAAAAO4/w9dF5R8Q77k/s1600/IMG_6860.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8Coz73BT2M/TfmIALksbLI/AAAAAAAAAO4/w9dF5R8Q77k/s200/IMG_6860.JPG" width="133" /></a><br />
while they are outside, i put together the pieces using basic paper piecing. i figured the least amount of ironing that a 10 year boy is going to have to do the better!! now to put the faces on the shirts...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Pxurzj6i8LQ/TfmIuu4iPfI/AAAAAAAAAO8/JU5Opnac-YA/s1600/IMG_6863.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Pxurzj6i8LQ/TfmIuu4iPfI/AAAAAAAAAO8/JU5Opnac-YA/s200/IMG_6863.JPG" width="132" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BS8pQgeLSH4/TfmJSAagoVI/AAAAAAAAAPE/AoaADmV0zTo/s1600/IMG_6864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H8j6ysGOm8I/TfmJA7qAgqI/AAAAAAAAAPA/VyUxLpuO61s/s200/IMG_6862.JPG" width="133" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BS8pQgeLSH4/TfmJSAagoVI/AAAAAAAAAPE/AoaADmV0zTo/s1600/IMG_6864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BS8pQgeLSH4/TfmJSAagoVI/AAAAAAAAAPE/AoaADmV0zTo/s200/IMG_6864.JPG" width="133" /></a></div><br />
<br />
of course MY kids the ham!! :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
and then (insert the glowing lights and ahhhhh music here).....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8b8PDy0kG2M/TfmLIS3L6rI/AAAAAAAAAPI/u6wbs0p2SxQ/s1600/IMG_6861.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8b8PDy0kG2M/TfmLIS3L6rI/AAAAAAAAAPI/u6wbs0p2SxQ/s400/IMG_6861.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">ANGRY BIRDS SHIRTS!</span></b></div><br />
